ANALISIS DE LAS DECLARACIONES DE MISIÓN DE LAS UNIVERSIDADES PARAGUAYAS EN TÉRMINOS DE SU ETHOS, TIPOS, IDENTIDAD, IMAGEN Y TIPOLOGÍA

Resumen


El objetivo general de esta investigación fue analizar el contenido de las Declaraciones de Misión (DM) de las universidades paraguayas con relación a su ethos, a los tipos de stakeholders presentes, a la identidad y la imagen institucional que poseen y a sus fines y tipologías. El estudio fue de diseño bibliográfico, tipo documental y enfoque cualitativo, obteniéndose las DM directamente de los sitios web de las 44 universidades públicas y privadas paraguayas seleccionadas. Se desarrolló un modelo con 20 elementos y se empleó una mezcla de análisis de contenido y minería de datos para obtener y analizar los datos recabados. Los resultados mostraron que el 34% de los elementos están presentes en las DM; 1926 palabras utilizan las DM y 43 el promedio de palabras de las 44 DM; el ethos de las universidades públicas (57%) es superior al de las universidades privadas (40%); el 30% de los principales stakeholders están presentes en las DM; la identidad e imagen institucional de las universidades privadas (46%) es superior al de las universidades privadas (35%); las DM de las universidades públicas (67%) están mejor alineadas con los fines de la educación superior que las de las universidades privadas (49%); y en las universidades paraguayas, conforme sus DM, prevalece la tipología tradicional. En conclusión, las DM de las universidades paraguayas poseen sustanciales oportunidades de mejora.
